Pupils, parents and staff at Guildford High School are delighted with their A Level results. 87% of the results are at A grade, the highest percentage of As in the country, and 95% are grades A or B. In a year group of 80 girls, 61 have achieved three or more A grades and a quarter of the girls will be taking up places at Oxford or Cambridge Colleges.
Mrs Fiona Boulton, Headmistress, commented, “These impressive results are testament to the girls' hard work and dedication and are particularly valuable in a year when the competition for university places is fierce. We are always impressed with our girls' ability to combine their A Level studies with a huge array of other interests, from sports and drama to music and debating, and their determination and commitment can be seen in these results. They work hard but have a great deal of fun along the way and contribute so much to school life in their Sixth Form years. Congratulations to all the girls and we wish them every success...they are now in strong positions to have fantastic experiences at university, during gap year adventures and in their future careers.”
